As women in business, one thing we need to get good at, is being more confident leaders.  But it is the one thing that so many of us Struggle with.  But it’s no surprise to me, because I Work with so many professional women Every day, who Feel uncertain about their leadership capabilities.  Because sometimes it seems like, we have the years of experience and expertise in our field, yet we struggle with our confidence as female leaders, and just don’t know how to go about becoming the leader, we want to be.

It can be like. Well what more I can do?

I’m doing everything I know how to in my business or career, But I am not truly being seen, heard or noticed, As the leader I want to be.  If this sounds familiar to you, the first thing you must remember, is that leadership is not just a title you receive or give yourself, it is a mindset and attitude!

You can position yourself as a leader. You can take control of your leadership ambitions and, you can be the leader you want to be in your life and business!  So, in this video, I am going to talk to you about how I have created my own leadership opportunities in my life and career – and how YOU can use these same strategies to amplify your own voice and craft your own authentic leadership style that gets you noticed – in all the right ways, by all the right people and businesses.

Because today as a professional woman, there is so much more opportunity for us claim our personal and professional power as female leaders. But we just don’t get taught how to confidently take control of our leadership capabilities and then how to share them with the world!

So, the first thing to becoming a more confident and empowered female leader is to make a conscious decision right now, to shift and disrupt your status quo and start to nurture a ‘growth and success mindset’.  It is the secret of every great leader and YOU are no different!

My first tip is to get clear on what your leadership GOALS are and What type of leader you want to be?

Now, you hear me talk about goal setting in your business and career a lot.  But it’s so essential to also have goals specifically around Your leadership space, and to unlock what leadership means to you.

Now that maybe the million-dollar question you may never have asked yourself. “What does leadership really mean to me?”  It’s so important to get that clarity first.  If leadership means greater recognition for you, then what does that look to you?  Is it a higher management role?   Is it an opportunity to better be heard and present your ideas or insights to others?  Is it to have a voice in a bigger conversation  in your industry?  Or is it to be an advocate to help, inspire or motivate others in some way?  Or …Is it to be a change-maker?

Figuring out your leadership goals gives you DIRECTION and FOCUS and helps you lead with greater passion and purpose.  All great leaders have a passion and purpose that drives them, so get specific around your leadership goals and the recognition you truly desire.

Tip #2 is to craft your leadership voice.

Every word has an impact and can make a difference! Language is a conscious choice and can elevate how people perceive you as a leader.
The language you use every day in every way must align with the type of leader you want to be.  If you want to be known as a motivational and inspiring leader, then use make people FEEL this way with the language you choose.

If you want to inspire and motivate, then don’t write emails that are overly formal and lack lustre.  Choose your words carefully. Create a leadership language that connects people to you in a positive way. Try writing emails that engage people with your passion for what you do and get them motivated!

Tip # 3 to crafting your leadership style;  Is to know your audience and Align with the leaders and key people of influence in your market.

Who are the movers and shakers? Who are the voices leading the global and local conversation that matter to you? Figure out how can
you contribute, engage in these conversations and add your own thought leadership and insights? Use the workbook to map out these ideas.

Tip #4 in your leadership journey, is to craft your own thought leadership snapshots by unlocking your success rituals, and how they can help others.

What can you write about confidently and publish as an industry insight, blog, presentation, white paper, article or report and ACTION
as part of your leaders goals in the next 12 months?
